Head Band Director
Cynthia Resendez Lee earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Lamar University.
In Fall 2019, she began her career at Coldspring-Oakhurst High School and Lincoln Junior High in Coldspring-Oakhurst ISD teaching the 6th grade Woodwinds classes and Concert Band. In 2021, she transferred to Cleveland Middle School as an Assistant Director working with the CMS Cadet Band and teaching beginner classes along with HS marching band. As of 2022, she became the Head Band Director at Cleveland Middle School, teaching the Honors Band, Concert Winds Band and beginner clarinet and saxophone classes.
Her professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Tau Beta Sigma.
Ms. Resendez is excited to begin her 8th year of teaching. She currently performs as a member of the Southeast Texas Winds & Percussion. She enjoys spending time with her husband, and playing with her dogs Luna, Bean and Cocoa. She also spends her time doing photography, traveling, reading, crocheting, listening to vinyls and running.
Assistant Band Director
Adrian Woodard earned his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Lamar University in 2018 and his Master's Degree from Texas Tech University in 2021.
In Fall 2018, he began his career at Cleveland Middle School where he taught the Symphonic Band and taught various beginner classes. In Fall 2020, he transitioned to Cleveland High School where he taught the Concert Band, Jazz Band, and eventually the Symphonic Band. In 2023, he worked at Magnolia High School in Magnolia ISD, where he taught the Symphonic Band and the Magnolia High School Jazz Ensemble while assisting the Magnolia High School Marching Band. Mr. Woodard also taught the beginner trumpets at Bear Branch Intermediate while at Magnolia ISD.
His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Kappa Kappa Psi, Phi Mu Alpha, and Pi Kappa Alpha.
Mr. Woodard is excited to begin his 9th year of teaching. When he is not teaching, he enjoys spending time with his family, his wife Bekah, daughter A.J, and son Desmond. He also enjoys golfing, gamin and watching sports, especially his beloved Tennessee Titans.
Mr. Woodard is very excited to be returning to Cleveland Middle School and Cleveland ISD.
Assistant Band Director
Nicolas Hernandez earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Lamar University and Master's in Music in Trumpet Performance at Texas A&M University- Kingsville.
In Spring 2023, his began his career at Cleveland Middle School as an Assistant Director working with the CMS Concert Band and teaching beginner classes.
His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Tau Beta Sigma.
Mr. Hernandez is excited to begin his 5th year of teaching. He currently performs as a member of the Southeast Texas Winds & Percussion. In his free time, Mr. Hernandez enjoys spending time with friends and family, fitness, and traveling.
Assistant Band Director
Alexander Langston earned his Bachelor’s Degree and Master's Degree in Music Education from Lamar University.
In Fall 2018, he began his career at DeQueen Elementary in Port Arthur ISD. He taught 5th grade beginner classes and assisted at Lincoln Middle School. In Fall 2022, he began working at Cleveland Middle School as an Assistant Director working with the CMS bands and teaching beginner classes.
His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
Mr. Langston is excited to begin his 8th year of teaching. He currently performs as a member of the Southeast Texas Winds & Percussion and Symphony Inspira. Mr. Langston lives in Cleveland, Texas with his wonderful wife, & colleague, Kendrea Langston, their son Hayden, and their dogs Ella and Anya and their cats Luke and Kit.
